The City of Atlanta has teamed up with Public Safety Corporation (PSC) to implement and enforce a new Atlanta Ordinance intended to help reduce the number of Atlanta Police Department dispatches due to false alarms. As of September 15, 2013, Atlanta Code of Ordinance Chapter 70, Article II will require ALL City of Atlanta residents and business owners to obtain a permit for their alarm systems. There is no charge for this permit. The City will collect the following fees for false alarm occurrences.

  • 1st False Alarm Occurrence – No Fee
  • 2nd False Alarm Occurrence – $50.00
  • 3rd False Alarm Occurrence – $100.00
  • 4th False Alarm Occurrence – $200.00
  • 5th & 6th False Alarm Occurrences – $200.00
  • All Successive False Alarm Occurrences – $500.00

It is a violation of the City Ordinance to operate an alarm system without a valid permit. An alarmed location will be charged one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) for not having a valid alarm permit as of February 1, 2014. To obtain your permit, register online at https://www.crywolf.us/atlantaga/ or call 1-855-725-7102. It is mandatory to renew your residential and / or business alarm registration every year.
